April 2026 Player of the Month
April’s East Durham Poker Player of the Month is none other than Kyle Watson, who spent the month treating final tables like a second home and the rest of the field like unfortunate bystanders.
Kyle put together a seriously strong April, playing 4 games and somehow managing to reach the final table in all 4 of them. That is the sort of consistency that usually gets checked for witchcraft. Along the way he picked up 1 win, landed in the top 3 twice, and cashed 2 times, wrapping the month up with a very tidy 93% ROI.
On the points front, Kyle piled up 926 POTM points from his performances at the tables, then added another 180 points through voting and bonus points to finish on a commanding 1106 total. To top it all off, he also won the peer vote, which means this was not just a case of numbers doing the talking. The room clearly noticed the month he had as well.
Perhaps the most impressive part of all is that even without the voting bonus, Kyle still would have taken the title on game points alone. In other words, the votes were not needed to rescue him, they were just the rest of the club politely agreeing with what the scoreboard had already been shouting.
Massive congratulations to Kyle Watson on being crowned East Durham Poker Player of the Month for April 2026. A top month, a deserved winner, and one very good reason for everyone else to start pretending they were “just playing for fun” all along.
